Zikra Alkhayal
Zikra Alkhayal, BDS, MS, FABPD is currently working as a Consultant Pediatric Dentist, Department of Dentistry and a Joint Scientist at the Stem and Re-engineering Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  More than 26 years in the field of Pediatric Dentistry, she is now a Middle East Representative, Member of Committee World Federation of Hemophilia Dental, Head of Examination Committee of Saudi Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Member of Central Assessment Committee of the Saudi Health Commission. Recently, she became a member of the scientific council of Saudi Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr Alkhayal took her undergraduate training at the London Hospital Medical College in England with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1989.  She practiced at King’s College Dental Hospital as a resident House Officer in 1990.  She then received a Specialty Certificate and a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA in 1993. She is a Diplomate of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 1996 and has an active General Dental Council Licensure in England.  She spent two years as Fellow in Pediatric Dentistry and then as Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry, USA. She also received a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Sedation and Pain Management in August 2008 from University of College London, United Kingdom.

Alongside clinical activities, Dr Alkhayal is actively involved at departmental and hospital levels, highly involved in research activities, postgraduate training and learning.
