Gideon Holan
Gideon Holan was born in Israel. He studied dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Hebrew University and Hadassah in Jerusalem, Israel, where he also completed his postgraduate training in Pediatric Dentistry in 1983. Was the Chairman of the Israel Society of Pediatric Dentistry, a Member and Chair Professional Committee of Pediatric Dentistry – a sub-committee of the Israel Dental Scientific Council, Director of the postgraduate program at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Member of the Editorial Board of ‘Pediatric Dentistry’ the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Chairman of the Israel Board Exam Committee of Pediatric Dentistry and Full time faculty member at the Hebrew University - Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel till he retired in November 2016. Gideon Holan is now an Emeritus Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry. He is a volunteering instructor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Hadassah School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of several professional dental organizations and articles reviewer of several journals. His main field of interest is Traumatic injuries to the primary dentition. Gideon Holan had published numerous articles related to traumatic injuries to the primary dentition and is a co-author of four chapters related to traumatic injuries to the primary dentition including Andreasen's Textbook and Color Atlas of Traumatic Injuries to the Teeth. He was invited to lecture in dozens congresses and seminars.
